The Yemeni Society for Thalassemia and Genetic Blood Disorders honored the esteemed Yamaan Foundation for Health and Social Development in recognition of their humanitarian efforts and for adopting the Humanitarian Response Project (2) dedicated to supporting and caring for patients with thalassemia and other genetic blood disorders. The project, implemented from June to December 2021, included a number of vital health and preventive activities and directly benefited 2,083 patients. It stands as one of the most successful projects implemented for individuals suffering from these hereditary blood conditions.
In the same spirit, the Society also honored the esteemed Marie Stopes International for their support and adoption of the Joint Response Project (1), which provided three essential medications for patients during the period from September to November 2021, reaching a total of 1,666 patients.
Beneficiaries and their families expressed their gratitude and happiness for the attention and care they received, offering sincere thanks to both Yamaan Foundation and Marie Stopes International for their humanitarian initiatives. They voiced hope for the continuation of such impactful projects that significantly contribute to improving their health and quality of life.
