Prevention of thalassemia and genetic blood disorders is a primary goal of the association. To achieve this, the association implements various programs and activities through different means and methods, such as holding lectures for students in schools, institutes, colleges, and universities, and utilizing media platforms like television channels, radio stations, newspapers, and websites. Additionally, short awareness messages are spread via telecommunications companies, and engagement with community influencers, mosque speakers, and social media platforms is encouraged to help spread awareness. Continuous education is provided through the association’s website and social media platforms, and global awareness days for thalassemia, sickle cell anemia, blood donation, the association’s founding anniversary, and others are observed to highlight the dangers of these chronic genetic disorders and the community’s role in supporting those affected. The association continues to advocate for the appropriate legislation mandating pre-marital screening and strengthens partnerships with various stakeholders to play their roles in combating these diseases for a healthy and thriving generation.
