The charity bazaar aims to raise community awareness about the severity of the disease and methods of prevention. It included the sale of charitable dishes and laboratory tests, with all proceeds dedicated to supporting patients suffering from thalassemia and hereditary blood disorders.
At the opening of the event, the university branch director in the governorate, Dr. Nabil Ali Mohammed Mansour, delivered a speech expressing his deep pleasure in attending and participating in the event. He emphasized the urgent need to support this vulnerable group, offering his thanks to the organizing team for their excellent preparation and arrangements.
Dr. Mansour highlighted the importance of the event in reminding people of the suffering endured by thalassemia and hereditary blood disorder patients, drawing the attention of various community sectors—especially students, businesspeople, and philanthropists—to provide support and solidarity, thereby strengthening social cohesion within the community.
The charity bazaar included an informative presentation about thalassemia and hereditary blood disorders, followed by a live auction of two cakes contributed by attendees. The event saw enthusiastic participation from teachers, staff, and students, with the cakes sold at high prices, contributing significantly to the funds raised for the benefit of thalassemia and hereditary blood disorder patients.
