In the framework of strengthening community partnership and anchoring the values of humanitarian responsibility, the Yemen Society for Thalassemia and Genetic Blood Disorders (YSTH) received today a delegation representing several banks and electronic wallets:
- Mr. Ahmed Abdulazim bin Ubaid – Marketing Officer at Al-Amal Bank.
- Mr. Abdulhakim Mohammed Ahmed Al-Faqih – Marketing Manager at Saba Islamic Bank.
- Mr. Mohammed Yassin Al-Shaibani – Service Points Officer at Cash Wallet.
- Mr. Yahya Ali Hamis – Marketing and Relations Officer at Cash Wallet.
The delegation visited the society’s therapeutic center to review the quality of medical and care services provided to patients, and to discuss horizons for mutual cooperation aimed at supporting this patient group and ensuring the sustainability of the services provided to them.
During the visit, the delegation toured various departments of the therapeutic center and listened to a detailed briefing on the therapeutic and care programs implemented by the society. They were also briefed on the continuous efforts exerted to guarantee the ongoing delivery of health and humanitarian services to thalassemia and genetic blood disorder patients, despite major challenges and scarce resources.
Representatives from the participating banks and e-wallets praised the humanitarian and national role played by the society in caring for patients and alleviating their suffering. They affirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation and partnership, and contributing to the support of programs and projects that meet patients’ needs and improve their quality of life.
For its part, the society’s management expressed its deep gratitude and appreciation to the visiting delegation, emphasizing that this visit embodies the spirit of solidarity and social responsibility. They added that it reflects a growing awareness of the importance of standing by thalassemia and genetic blood disorder patients, and supporting efforts aimed at ensuring their access to sustainable healthcare.
The visit concluded with honoring the participating entities and awarding them certificates of appreciation in recognition of their humanitarian contributions and continuous support for the society’s programs. This also underscored the importance of expanding institutional partnerships and unifying national efforts to alleviate patient suffering, enhance awareness and prevention programs to curb the spread of genetic diseases, and protect future generations.
