In a humanitarian step reflecting the values of solidarity and social responsibility, Al-Hikma University organized a blood donation campaign today, Thursday, 9 Safar 1448 AH (July 23, 2026 AD), in coordination and cooperation with the Yemen Society for Thalassemia and Genetic Blood Disorders and the National Central Public Health Laboratories Center. The campaign witnessed broad participation from students, faculty, and administrative staff to support patients in need of blood units, primarily those suffering from thalassemia and inherited blood disorders.
The campaign saw a remarkable turnout of donors, depicting a scene of giving and solidarity, and contributing to promoting a culture of voluntary blood donation as a message of life and one of the most vital forms of humanitarian work.
The Director-General of the Society praised this humanitarian initiative, emphasizing that it reflects growing community awareness regarding the importance of blood donation and reinforces the values of solidarity and giving, particularly toward patients who rely on regular blood transfusions.
He called on various universities and institutions to adopt similar initiatives due to their direct impact on boosting the national blood supply and instilling a culture of giving and social responsibility, positively impacting the lives of thousands of patients.
