On Wednesday, 11 Jumada al-Akhirah 1444 AH / corresponding to January 4, 2023, the Yemeni Association for Thalassemia and Hereditary Blood Disorders welcomed students from the Laboratory Department at the University of Science and Technology for an educational visit to the Association’s treatment center.
Dr. Mukhtar Ismail, Director of the Center, and Mr. Ali Abdulwali, a member of the Association’s Administrative Board, delivered an awareness seminar highlighting the risks of thalassemia and hereditary blood disorders, their modes of transmission, complications, and methods of prevention.
During the visit, students distributed gifts to patients at the center, and the Association was honored with a certificate of appreciation in recognition of its ongoing humanitarian efforts.
Mr. Jameel Ali Al-Khayati, General Director of the Association, expressed his sincere gratitude to the university administration, the activities department, and the visiting students for their dedication to raising awareness about hereditary blood disorders and their commitment to this important humanitarian cause.
