On Wednesday, 25 Jumada al-Akhirah 1444 AH / corresponding to January 18, 2023, Queen Arwa University concluded its awareness campaign — organized in coordination and cooperation with the Yemeni Association for Thalassemia and Hereditary Blood Disorders — which aimed to educate the public about the risks of thalassemia and hereditary blood disorders and the means of prevention.
The campaign concluded with a voluntary blood donation drive in support of thalassemia patients, hereditary blood disorder patients, and others dependent on regular blood transfusions, in collaboration with the National Blood Transfusion and Research Center.
In recognition of their humanitarian efforts in organizing and supporting both campaigns, the Association honored the University. The University also awarded the Association a certificate of appreciation for its continuous humanitarian contributions.
