On Monday, 16 Dhul-Qi’dah 1444 AH, corresponding to June 5, 2023, the Yemeni Society for Thalassemia and Genetic Blood Disorders (YSTH) welcomed a distinguished group of artists, media professionals, and writers in a humanitarian visit to the treatment center in Sana’a. The delegation was received by the President of the Society, members of the administrative board, and staff.
During the visit, the guests were introduced to the various departments of the center and the services it provides to patients. A health awareness lecture and an open discussion session were held, focusing on hereditary blood disorders and ways to prevent them.
The visitors expressed their deep appreciation for the Society’s humanitarian efforts and affirmed their full commitment to raising awareness about this important cause. They pledged to advocate for early premarital testing and medical consultation to ensure the health and safety of future generations—through their artistic and literary work, and across various media platforms.
