The Yemeni Society for Thalassemia and Genetic Blood Disorders received a visit on Sunday, 24 Rajab 1445 AH (February 4, 2024), from female students of the Laboratory Department at the Jordanian Yemeni University. During the visit, the students were introduced to the center’s departments and the medical services provided to patients. The Society’s health education team delivered an awareness lecture on the risks, symptoms, complications, and modes of transmission of thalassemia and other genetic blood disorders, as well as the importance of early detection and prevention. The visit also included the presentation of awareness videos and distribution of educational brochures. This activity is part of the Society’s ongoing efforts, in partnership with academic institutions, to raise awareness among students and the broader community.
