Ibn Al-Nafees University for Medical Sciences, in coordination and cooperation with the Yemeni Society for Thalassemia and Hereditary Blood Disorders, organized an awareness campaign on Saturday, March 2, 2024, to educate students about the dangers, complications, and genetic transmission of thalassemia and hereditary blood disorders, as well as prevention methods.
This was followed by a voluntary blood donation campaign held on Monday, March 4, 2024, in front of the university, in support of patients with thalassemia, hereditary blood disorders, and others who depend on blood transfusions. The campaign was held in collaboration with the National Blood Transfusion and Research Center.
