Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Visits Thalassemia Care Center
During her visit to the Thalassemia and Genetic Blood Disorder Care Center, H.E. Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Ms. Faika Al-Sayyed, reaffirmed her continued support and commitment to the cause of thalassemia and genetic blood disorder patients.
The Minister praised the efforts of the Center, describing its work as “rare and exceptional,” adding, “If I ever leave my position, I will come to work with you—serving thalassemia patients through your organization would be an honor for me.”
During the tour, Minister Al-Sayyed was briefed on the key medical services the Center provides free of charge to patients. She also reviewed the most urgent needs required to sustain the Center’s health and awareness efforts.
The Minister pledged to coordinate with local and international partners to secure the necessary medications and medical supplies to support the Center’s operations.
On the sidelines of her visit, Minister Al-Sayyed, along with a group of businessmen, launched the School Bag Distribution Project, sponsored by the New Generation Group, which provided school bags to dozens of students living with thalassemia and genetic blood disorders.
