President of the Yemeni Thalassemia Society Honors the Thalassemia International Federation and Peer Organizations
Dr. Ahmed Shamsan, President of the Yemeni Thalassemia Society and head of the delegation participating in the 2nd MEGMA Conference on Thalassemia, honored the Thalassemia International Federation (TIF) in recognition of its efforts in supporting the cause of thalassemia and genetic blood disorder patients in Yemen.
Accompanied by the Society’s Executive Director, Mr. Jameel Al-Khayati, Dr. Shamsan also presented awards to a number of organizations working in the field of chronic genetic diseases, including the Jordanian Thalassemia and Hemophilia Society, the Jordanian Ministry of Health, and the Emirates Thalassemia Society, among others.
The honoring took place on the sidelines of the 2nd MEGMA Conference on Thalassemia and Genetic Blood Disorders, held in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
