Director General of the Planning Office at the Municipality Visits the Thalassemia Care Center

On the morning of Tuesday, August 25, 2020, Mr. Khaled Mohammed Al-Nahmi, Director General of the Planning Office at the Sana’a Capital Secretariat, paid an inspection visit to the Thalassemia and Hereditary Blood Disorders Care Center. During the visit, he reviewed the center’s operations and familiarized himself with the departments providing medical and therapeutic services to patients. Al-Nahmi praised the significant humanitarian roles undertaken by the center’s leadership and staff, wishing them continued success in their duties for the benefit of the patients. He also expressed his solidarity and support for the families affected by this issue, emphasizing the need for collective effort and backing. For his part, Mr. Jameel Ali Al-Khayati, Director General of the Association, noted that thalassemia and hereditary blood disorders are spreading across our beloved homeland due to marriages conducted without premarital screening and the consequent increase in births. This situation calls for the collaboration and support of official bodies, businessmen, and philanthropists alike to eliminate this debilitating disease threatening our society.
