The Yemeni Society for Thalassemia and Hereditary Blood Disorders held an awareness meeting on Sunday, 24 Sha’ban 1443 AH (March 27, 2022), at the Society’s headquarters in Sana’a. The meeting was specifically organized for the parents of patients with thalassemia and hereditary blood disorders.
During the meeting, discussions focused on ensuring the availability of safe blood for patients during the holy month of Ramadan. The General Director of the Society, Mr. Jameel Al-Khayati, emphasized to the attendees the importance of their active participation in securing blood for their children who require transfusions every three weeks — both during Ramadan 1443 AH and beyond.
