On Saturday, February 14, 2026 (Sha’ban 26, 1447 AH), a voluntary blood donation campaign was held through a collaborative partnership between the Yemen Society for Thalassemia and Genetic Blood Disorders, the German College of Medical Sciences and Technology, and the National Blood Transfusion and Research Center (NBTRC). This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to bolster blood supplies for patients suffering from Thalassemia and genetic blood disorders.
The campaign aimed to expand community participation within educational institutions and motivate students to fulfill their humanitarian roles through regular blood donation.
YSTH praised the spirit of cooperation demonstrated by the administration and students of the German College, emphasizing that such initiatives reflect a growing social awareness. The society further noted that these efforts contribute to building a sustainable humanitarian culture rooted in giving and social solidarity.
