Yemen Mobile Distributes Proceeds from the Fourth “Dawa’i” Campaign
During a ceremony organized by Yemen Mobile to distribute the proceeds of the fourth “Dawa’i” campaign, the Association’s Chairman praised the company’s leading role in alleviating the suffering of thalassemia patients.
Dr. Ahmed Shamsan Al-Muqrami, Chairman of the Yemeni Society for Thalassemia and Hereditary Blood Disorders, commended Yemen Mobile for its pioneering efforts in serving community causes and easing the hardships faced by citizens, including those of thalassemia and hereditary blood disorder patients.
During the event, Dr. Shamsan expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to Yemen Mobile’s management for dedicating the campaign proceeds to support thalassemia and hereditary blood disorder patients.
He emphasized that the number of patients is continuously increasing, with the association receiving about 10 new cases daily. Dr. Shamsan also highlighted the worsening situation due to the ongoing shortage of essential medicines and medical supplies, which exacerbates the patients’ suffering day by day.
The ceremony included several speeches and artistic performances portraying the challenges faced by patients. At its conclusion, the Chairman of Yemen Mobile’s Board, the company’s CEO, and the Health Ministry’s advisor presented a cheque of 28,316,000 Yemeni Riyals — the total proceeds raised from last year’s “Dawa’i” campaign — to the Association’s Chairman.
