Pediatrics Conference
Dr. Ahmed Shamsan, Chairman of the Association and Vice President of the Pediatrics Conference, read out the Association’s recommendations for the conference, which were unanimously approved:
Establishment of a National Center for the Care of Thalassemia and Hereditary Blood Disorder Patients, along with branches in the governorates.
Enactment and practical implementation of a premarital screening law through the relevant authorities.
Provision of free medical services for patients with thalassemia and hereditary blood disorders in hospitals and health centers.
Supply of essential and supportive medications for thalassemia and hereditary blood disorder patients by the Ministry of Health, pharmaceutical companies, and international organizations.
