On Sunday, February 25, 2024, the Lebanese International University, in coordination and cooperation with the Yemeni Society for Thalassemia and Hereditary Blood Disorders, organized an awareness campaign to educate students about the dangers, complications, and genetic transmission of thalassemia and hereditary blood disorders, as well as methods of prevention.
Subsequently, on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, a voluntary blood donation campaign was held on campus in support of patients with thalassemia, hereditary blood disorders, and others who rely on blood transfusions. The campaign was conducted in collaboration with the National Blood Transfusion and Research Center.
