The Yemeni Society for Thalassemia and Hereditary Blood Disorders, in coordination and cooperation with the National Blood Transfusion and Research Center and funded by the General Authority for Zakat, held the first voluntary blood donation campaign of the year on Thursday, 12 Sha’ban 1445 AH (February 22, 2024), in front of the Society’s headquarters. The campaign aimed to support patients with thalassemia, hereditary blood disorders, and other patients dependent on blood transfusions.
The Director General of the Society expressed his profound gratitude and appreciation to the General Authority for Zakat, the dedicated teams at the National Center and the Society, and the generous blood donors for their exceptional efforts and contributions in making such humanitarian campaigns successful, and for their commitment to saving lives.
