As part of a national responsibility, students from the Business Administration Department at the University of Science and Technology paid a humanitarian visit to the Thalassemia and Hereditary Blood Disorder Care Center on Tuesday, October 29, 2019. In the same context, a group of students from the Laboratory Department, Faculty of Medicine at Sana’a University also visited the center.
During the visit, the students attended an awareness lecture on the risks of thalassemia and hereditary blood disorders, as well as methods of prevention. The session was delivered by Mr. Abdullah Al-Jaadhi, Head of the Public Relations and Media Department at the Association.
As a token of solidarity, the students from the University of Science and Technology presented modest gifts to the patients, expressing their support for this vulnerable group.
The students also affirmed their willingness to take part in community awareness efforts and to help raise public understanding of the challenges faced by individuals living with thalassemia and hereditary blood disorders.
