The Yemeni Society for Thalassemia and Hereditary Blood Disorders, in partnership with Yaman Foundation for Health and Social Development, conducted an awareness seminar today, Thursday, February 11, 2021, for 27 mosque preachers from Bani Al-Harith District — Sana’a Capital Secretariat. This seminar is part of the joint response program for patients with thalassemia and hereditary hemolytic anemia.
At the beginning of the seminar, the Association’s Director, Mr. Jameel Ali Al-Khayati, warmly welcomed the distinguished attendees, especially Mr. Ameen Ahmed Al-Razhi, Director of Endowments in Bani Al-Harith District, and Mr. Abdul Rahman Al-Judairi, Director of Endowments in Al-Safiah District. He expressed gratitude for their commendable efforts in responding to the invitation and called on everyone to ignite the flame of awareness in the community by educating about the dangers of thalassemia and hereditary hemolytic anemia, and emphasizing the importance of early medical screening before marriage as the only way to protect future generations from the risks of these chronic diseases.
