أThe German College of Medical and Technical Sciences, in coordination and cooperation with the National Blood Transfusion and Research Center and the Yemeni Association for Thalassemia and Hereditary Blood Disorders, held today, Wednesday, 10th February 2021, a voluntary blood donation campaign in support of patients with thalassemia and hereditary hemolytic anemias. The campaign took place in the college courtyard under the slogan “We Plant Hope… and Extinguish Pain,” supervised by Dr. Rania Al-Athouri and Dr. Adnan Al-Hakimi, the Technical Director of the National Blood Transfusion and Research Center, along with the accompanying medical team. The Association was represented during the campaign by Mr. Abdullah Al-Jada’i, Head of Public Relations and Media, and Mr. Abdulghani Al-Jalla, Media Officer.
Mr. Jameel Ali Al-Khyati, Director of the Association, highly appreciated the efforts of the German College and the team at the National Blood Transfusion and Research Center for their ongoing humanitarian work towards patients with thalassemia and hereditary hemolytic anemias.
At the conclusion of the campaign, the college administration, represented by Dean Dr. Mohammed Al-Amari, honored the Association and the National Blood Transfusion and Research Center in recognition and appreciation of their diligent efforts to alleviate patients’ suffering, wishing them continued progress and success for the health and wellbeing of the patients.
