AWARENESS CAMPAIGN ON THE DANGERS OF THALASSEMIA AND HEREDITARY BLOOD DISORDERS
On Sunday, 27 Dhu al-Qi’dah 1443 AH / 26 June 2022, the German College of Medical and Technical Sciences hosted an awareness campaign on the dangers of thalassemia and hereditary blood disorders and ways to prevent them, in coordination and cooperation with the Yemeni Society for Thalassemia and Hereditary Blood Disorders (YSTH).
Dr. Mukhtar Ismail, Director of the Society’s Treatment Center, delivered an informative talk on hereditary hemolytic disorders and emphasized the importance of prevention through early premarital medical screening. He also encouraged attendees to participate in the upcoming blood donation campaign scheduled for Tuesday, 28 June 2022, at the college courtyard.
