On Wednesday, 17 Rajab 1444 AH / corresponding to February 8, 2023, the Student Activities Department at the University of Science and Technology, in coordination and collaboration with the Yemeni Association for Thalassemia and Hereditary Blood Disorders, organized an awareness campaign to educate the public about the risks of thalassemia and hereditary blood disorders, their modes of transmission, and methods of prevention.
The campaign also included a voluntary blood donation drive, held in cooperation with the National Blood Transfusion and Research Center, in support of patients with thalassemia, hereditary blood disorders, and others reliant on regular blood transfusions.
