Al-Rasheed Smart University, in coordination and cooperation with the Yemeni Society for Thalassemia and Genetic Blood Disorders, organized an awareness campaign on Wednesday and Saturday, October 18 and 21, 2023. The campaign aimed to raise awareness about the risks of thalassemia and other hereditary blood disorders, their modes of transmission, and methods of prevention. On Saturday, the campaign was accompanied by a voluntary blood donation drive in support of patients with thalassemia, hereditary blood disorders, and others who rely on blood transfusions. The event was held in cooperation with the National Center for Blood Transfusion and Research.
