The Yemeni Society for Thalassemia and Genetic Blood Disorders received a group of third-level students from the Laboratory Department at Al-Ghad International College for Health Sciences and Technology on Wednesday, 24 Rabi’ al-Thani 1445 AH, corresponding to November 8, 2023, as part of an awareness visit to learn about the departments of the treatment center and the services it provides to patients.
The center’s director, Dr. Mukhtar Ismail, delivered a lecture introducing thalassemia and genetic blood disorders, their risks, modes of transmission, and methods of prevention. The visit also included the screening of awareness videos.
In recognition of their humanitarian and societal responsibility to protect childhood, the students expressed their commitment to spreading awareness within the college and throughout the broader community.
