The Yemeni Society for Thalassemia and Hereditary Blood Disorders (YSTH) received today, Sunday, 4 Jumada al-Akhirah 1445 AH / December 17, 2023, a group of high school female students from Al-Alamia Modern Schools in an awareness visit during which they were introduced to the sections of the treatment center and the services it provides to patients.
The visit included a lecture, presentation of several awareness videos, and distribution of brochures to educate about the risks of thalassemia and hereditary hemolytic anemia, their symptoms, complications, and preventive measures. There is no way to eliminate these chronic hereditary diseases except by conducting early screening and medical consultation before marriage.
