Continuing its preventive efforts, the Yemeni Society for Thalassemia and Hereditary Blood Disorders welcomed today, Thursday, 7 Rajab 1445 AH, corresponding to January 18, 2024, senior female students from Tamkeen Modern Schools in a humanitarian and awareness visit to the Thalassemia and Hereditary Blood Disorders Treatment Center. During the visit, the students were introduced to the center’s departments and the services provided to patients, and gifts and toys were distributed to the children.
The Society’s health education team delivered an awareness lecture about the risks, symptoms, complications, transmission methods, and prevention of thalassemia and hereditary blood disorders. Educational brochures were distributed, and awareness videos were shown.
