The Yemeni University, in coordination and cooperation with the Yemeni Society for Thalassemia and Hereditary Blood Disorders, held today, Tuesday, 5 Rajab 1445 AH, corresponding to January 16, 2024, an awareness campaign to highlight the risks, complications, and prevention methods of thalassemia and hereditary hemolytic anemia. The campaign emphasized the importance of supporting efforts to protect children from these chronic genetic diseases, stressing that early screening and medical consultation before marriage are the only ways to prevent them.
