On Wednesday, 27 Rajab 1445 AH (February 7, 2024), the Yemeni Thalassemia and Genetic Blood Disorders Association (YTGA) welcomed fourth-year pharmacy students from the University of Yemen during an educational visit aimed at introducing them to the departments of the treatment center and the humanitarian services it provides to patients.
During the visit, YTGA’s Health Education Team delivered an informative lecture on thalassemia and genetic blood disorders, discussing their risks, complications, and methods of prevention through early screening and premarital medical consultation. The session also highlighted the importance of community awareness and active engagement in promoting preventive health practices related to these chronic conditions.
