Yemeni Society for Thalassemia and Hereditary Blood Disorders Welcomes Second-Year Medical Assistant Students from Al-Jamaa Institute
On Wednesday, 25 Sha’ban 1445 AH (March 6, 2024), the Yemeni Society for Thalassemia and Hereditary Blood Disorders received a group of second-year Medical Assistant students from Al-Jamaa Institute. The visit aimed to introduce the students to the departments of the treatment center and the humanitarian services it provides to patients.
Dr. Mukhtar Ismail, Director of the Treatment Center, delivered an awareness lecture on thalassemia and hereditary blood disorders, highlighting their risks, complications, and methods of prevention—particularly through early testing and premarital medical consultation. He also emphasized the importance of contributing to public health awareness of these diseases within the community.
