Yemeni Society for Thalassemia and Hereditary Blood Disorders Welcomes Medical Students from Al-Hadara University
On Sunday, 12 Shawwal 1445 AH (April 21, 2024), the Yemeni Society for Thalassemia and Hereditary Blood Disorders received a group of second- and third-year medical students from Al-Hadara University as part of an educational awareness visit.
During the visit, the students toured the Society’s treatment center and were introduced to its various departments and the free services provided to patients.
They also attended an awareness lecture on thalassemia and hereditary blood disorders, covering the complications, health risks, and prevention methods—particularly through early testing and premarital medical consultation. The lecture also addressed patient case management based on disease type and treatment plans, the essential role of doctors in raising awareness and improving patient outcomes, and their current role in supporting blood donation campaigns for patients.
The session emphasized the importance of joint efforts to promote health awareness about these conditions to help ensure the well-being of future generations.
