On Monday, 20 Rabi’ al-Awwal 1446 AH, corresponding to September 23, 2024, the Yemeni Society for Thalassemia and Hereditary Blood Disorders welcomed first- and second-year medical and surgery students from Al-Razi University during an educational awareness visit. The students were introduced to the departments of the treatment center and the free services it provides to patients.
The students attended an awareness lecture covering thalassemia and hereditary blood disorders, their complications, risks, prevention methods, the importance of early testing and premarital medical counseling, and the critical role of successful voluntary blood donation campaigns for patients. The session emphasized the need for collective efforts to raise health awareness of these diseases to ensure the health and safety of future generations.
