With Funding from Bazara Foundation, Thalassemia Center Distributes Desferal Treatment to Patients
The Thalassemia and Hereditary Blood Disorders Care Center distributed iron-chelation medication Desferal to a number of patients this morning.
The distribution was made possible through the generous support of the Bazara Development Foundation, and targeted patients with iron levels ranging between 5,000 and 10,000 ng/ml.
Desferal is one of the essential medications provided free of charge by the center to thalassemia and hereditary blood disorder patients.
