The Yemeni Association for Thalassemia and Hereditary Blood Diseases held a Ramadan evening under the slogan “With Us… May Your Ramadan Be Everlasting and Your Good Deeds Enduring” to commemorate the World Sickle Cell Anemia Day on June 19, 2016.
The event was organized by the Association under the auspices of the Ministry of Public Health and Population, and attended by Dr. Mohammed Al-Da’is, Director General of the National Drug Supply Program, Amin Darham, a member of the Capital Secretariat Chamber of Commerce, along with a distinguished group of Yemen’s leading artists, media personalities, and actors.
Funded by Yemen Mobile and sponsored in cooperation with Al-Khatib Restaurants and Broast, the evening featured a series of speeches, artistic performances, and religious and medical guidance delivered by doctors and religious scholars.
The event also included a friendly gathering with Iftar and dinner served to patients, artists, and media representatives. It concluded with the honoring of sponsors and supporters for their continued efforts in supporting the cause of patients with anemia and hereditary blood diseases.
