The Director of the Thalassemia and Hereditary Blood Disorders Care Center, Dr. Mukhtar Ismail, along with the Public Relations Officer, Mr. Abdullah Al-Jad’i, welcomed a group of students from the International College, Nursing and Laboratory departments, at the Center’s headquarters in Sana’a.
During the reception, Dr. Ismail praised the students’ commitment to humanitarian and national issues, foremost among them the cause of patients with thalassemia and hereditary blood disorders.
He urged the students to undergo premarital medical screening and to actively contribute to raising community awareness about its importance, aiming to reduce the spread of hereditary blood diseases.
The students were also presented with a brief overview of the key health, social, and relief services provided by the Association through the Center via a documentary film.
Additionally, they viewed various awareness clips and educational materials highlighting the risks, complications, and preventive measures related to thalassemia.
