On Monday, February 25, 2019, the General Manager of the Yemeni Society for Thalassemia and Hereditary Blood Disorders, along with several staff members, received Engineer Akram Al-Saqqaf, Director of Bazra Development Foundation, and Dr. Nasr Jubran, Director of Health Programs at the Foundation, at the premises of the Thalassemia and Hereditary Blood Disorders Care Center in Sana’a.
During the visit, the guests were introduced to the various departments of the Association and the Care Center, as well as the services provided in caring for children with thalassemia and hereditary hemolytic anemia.
Engineer Al-Saqqaf praised the Association’s vital role in advocating for the children affected by thalassemia and easing their suffering. Despite limited resources, the Association has demonstrated tireless dedication and persistent efforts to provide diverse services to patients under very challenging circumstances.
Dr. Nasr Jubran expressed his surprise at the lack of focus by many humanitarian organizations operating in Yemen towards this vulnerable group, whose numbers are increasing daily, thereby placing an additional burden on the Association.
The General Manager of the Association expressed his sincere gratitude and appreciation to Bazra Development Foundation and its leadership for their continued commitment and support to the cause of thalassemia and hereditary blood disorder patients.
