On Thursday, August 29, 2019, Mr. Abdullah Al-Jad’i, Head of Public Relations and Media at the Yemeni Society for Thalassemia and Hereditary Blood Disorders, received second-year laboratory students from the College of Medical and Technical Sciences at Al-Jazeera University. The students toured the departments of the Thalassemia and Hereditary Blood Disorders Care Center to learn about the services provided to patients.
During the awareness lecture delivered by Mr. Abdullah Al-Jad’i, he introduced hereditary blood disorders, their prevalence, and effective solutions to confront—or at least limit—the spread of these diseases. He emphasized the importance of early medical screening before marriage and raising community awareness about the risks of these chronic conditions.
The students expressed their sincere appreciation for the visit and thanked the Society for its dedicated efforts in supporting patients. They affirmed their commitment to raising awareness about hereditary blood disorders across all segments of society.
