Sabafon – A Legacy of Giving
With generous funding from Sabafon Mobile Company, the Thalassemia and Hereditary Blood Disorders Care Center has distributed Hydroxyurea medication to dozens of patients suffering from hereditary blood disorders.
In the presence of Mr. Mohammed Nasser Al-Mallahi, Community Care Officer at Sabafon, the medication distribution campaign was launched to support patients with sickle cell anemia registered at the center. This initiative comes amid the current difficult circumstances in the country and represents a life-saving intervention for patients in need. Hydroxyurea is a critical medication for managing pain and complications associated with sickle cell anemia.
Mr. Jameel Al-Khayati, Executive Director of the Yemeni Society for Thalassemia and Hereditary Blood Disorders, expressed his appreciation for Sabafon’s continued support and awareness efforts. He noted the challenges the organization faces in securing a consistent supply of medication due to the lack of government funding and the soaring prices of essential drugs. He praised Sabafon’s contribution as a compassionate gesture that alleviates the suffering of this vulnerable group.
At the conclusion of the launch event, Mr. Al-Khayati presented certificates of appreciation to Sabafon in recognition of the company’s outstanding humanitarian efforts.
