The Yemeni Society for Thalassemia and Hereditary Blood Disorders was honored yesterday, Tuesday, December 15, 2020, alongside a group of civil society organizations, several commercial companies, and social figures who contributed to the success of the Development Partners Program in the Capital Secretariat during 2020. The honor ceremony was organized by the Social Affairs and Labor Office under the patronage of Mr. Ubaid bin Dabea, Minister of Social Affairs and Labor; Mr. Hamoud Abbad, Secretary of the Capital and Chairman of the Local Council; and Mr. Nasser Al-Safi Al-Kahli, Director General of the Social Affairs and Labor Office.
The Society was represented by Dr. Mokhtar Ismail, Director of the Center for Care of Thalassemia and Hereditary Blood Disorders, and Mr. Abdullah Al-Jad’i, Head of the Society’s Public Relations and Media Department. This honor recognizes the significant contributions, tangible efforts, and active participation of the involved parties in various fields, motivated by national and humanitarian responsibility.
The ceremony was attended by several deputy secretaries of the capital, representatives from the Ministry of Social Affairs, leaders of the Chamber of Commerce, civil society organizations, and community initiatives.
