On Wednesday, January 13, 2021, Azal University for Human Development organized a voluntary blood donation campaign in support of patients with thalassemia and hereditary blood disorders. The campaign was held in front of the university gate from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., in coordination and cooperation with the National Blood Transfusion and Research Center and the Yemeni Society for Thalassemia and Hereditary Blood Disorders.
The campaign was attended by Dr. Adnan Al-Hakimi, Technical Director of the National Blood Transfusion and Research Center, along with his medical team, Mr. Abdullah Al-Jad’aei, Head of the Public Relations and Media Department at the Society, Mr. Abdulghani Al-Jillah, Media Officer, Dr. Fouad Al-Qushaibi, Director of Marketing at the University, and Activities Coordinators Mr. Abdullah Al-Afif and Ms. Israa Al-Faqih.
On behalf of all patients, the administrative board and staff of the Society expressed their heartfelt thanks, appreciation, and gratitude to the National Blood Transfusion and Research Center and Azal University for Human Development for their tremendous efforts. They prayed that these humanitarian contributions be rewarded and accepted.
