The Childhood and Peace Ambassador, the talented star Maria Qahtan, paid a humanitarian visit yesterday, Tuesday, October 5, 2021, to the Thalassemia and Hereditary Blood Disorders Care Center in Sana’a. She was warmly received by the Director General of the Association, several board members, and a group of children affected by hereditary blood disorders along with their families.
During the visit, Maria and her accompanying team toured the center’s departments and learned about the services provided to the patients and their vital importance. Maria also presented a collection of gifts to the patients present in the center’s wards.
The Director General of the Association, Mr. Jamil Ali Al-Khayati, emphasized the urgent need for various segments of society to unite in order to prevent new cases of these diseases. He stressed that this goal can only be achieved through widespread awareness efforts, where everyone works hand in hand to protect future generations from this imminent threat. He also expressed deep gratitude and appreciation to the talented Maria and her accompanying team for their kind gesture, which reflects their strong humanitarian spirit.
At the conclusion of the visit, Maria was honored with a certificate of appreciation from the Association in recognition of her visit, with best wishes for her continued success and achievements.
