The Yemeni Society for Thalassemia and Hereditary Blood Disorders, in coordination and cooperation with the National Blood Transfusion and Research Center, held a blood donation campaign today, Monday, November 15, 2021, near the Society’s gate. The campaign was warmly welcomed by the patients’ guardians and the team from the National Blood Transfusion and Research Center.
The campaign was inaugurated by Dr. Adnan Al-Hakimi, Technical Director of the National Blood Transfusion and Research Center, along with the accompanying medical staff. The General Director of the Society, Mr. Jameel Ali Al-Khayati, expressed his sincere thanks and gratitude to all those who contributed to the success of this campaign, foremost among them the National Center team, the staff of the Social Affairs and Labor Office in Sana’a Capital Secretariat, the generous citizens who donated blood, and the Society’s staff and board members for their active participation and humanitarian contribution to this voluntary day.
He called on all segments of society to continue engaging with such campaigns in the coming days, praying to Almighty God to reward everyone abundantly and make it a source of blessings.
Notably, the Society aims to regularly hold similar campaigns at universities, colleges, and institutes to secure patients’ blood unit needs.
