On Tuesday, September 13, a distinguished group of Yemeni artists and writers paid a humanitarian visit to the Yemeni Society for Thalassemia and Hereditary Blood Disorders and its therapeutic center in Sana’a. They were welcomed by the Society’s Director General, Mr. Jameel Ali Al-Khayati, and the Director of the Therapeutic Center, Dr. Mukhtar Ismail.
Leading the visiting delegation were Mr. Fouad Al-Kahali, Secretary-General of the Yemeni Artists’ Syndicate; Ms. Najeeba Abdullah, Secretary-General of the Yemeni Artists’ Association; Mr. Ahmed Al-Maamari, Director General of the National Theater; Mr. Nadhir Al-Areeqi, Executive Director of A.L.M. Theater; and poet Mr. Ziyad Al-Qahham, Editor-in-Chief of El-Maqha Magazine.
During the visit, the guests were introduced to the various departments of the therapeutic center and the services it provides to patients. They expressed their deep appreciation for the dedication of the staff and affirmed their full readiness to support and deliver the Society’s awareness message to the broader community—stressing the importance of early screening and medical consultation before marriage to ensure the health and safety of future generations.
