Last Saturday, December 30, 2023, a group of first-year Pharmacy students from the University of Science and Technology, accompanied by the university’s Student Activities Department, visited the Association to gain firsthand knowledge about the therapeutic center’s services provided to patients. The visit included learning about the nature of thalassemia and hereditary hemolytic anemias, their risks, complications, and prevention methods. Gifts were also distributed to the affected children.
In this context, the University held a voluntary blood donation campaign today, Wednesday, January 3, 2024, in coordination and cooperation with the Association and the National Center for Blood Transfusion and Research, to support patients with thalassemia, hereditary hemolytic anemia, and other patients dependent on blood transfusions.
The Association’s management extends its sincere gratitude and appreciation to the University and the National Center for their dedicated humanitarian efforts toward supporting this vulnerable group by securing their safe blood supply. We wish them continued success and prosperity.
