The Yemeni Society for Thalassemia and Hereditary Blood Disorders, in collaboration with the National Blood Transfusion and Research Center and under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Taha Ahmed Al-Mutawakkil, Minister of Public Health and Population, launched today, Monday, 5 Dhu al-Qi’dah 1445 AH, corresponding to May 13, 2024, a voluntary blood donation campaign in support of patients with thalassemia, hereditary blood disorders, and other patients dependent on blood transfusions and blood derivatives.
This campaign is part of the activities commemorating World Thalassemia Day on May 8.
