On Thursday, Rajab 9, 1446 AH, corresponding to January 9, 2025, the Yemeni Society for Thalassemia and Hereditary Blood Disorders received second-year medical assistant students from Al-Jami’a Institute for Medical Sciences, along with third-year high school students from Al-Tamayoz Private Schools. The visit aimed to raise awareness and included a tour of the treatment center, where students learned about the free services provided to patients.
The students attended an educational lecture and viewed awareness videos about thalassemia and hereditary blood disorders, focusing on their risks, complications, genetic transmission, and methods of prevention through early testing and premarital medical consultation.
