Modern Science University, in collaboration with the Yemeni Society for Thalassemia and Hereditary Blood Disorders, organized a seminar on Saturday, 11 Rajab 1446 AH (January 11, 2025), entitled “The Dangers of Thalassemia and Methods of Prevention.” The event was attended by the University President, Prof. Shubair Al-Harazi, the Secretary-General, Dr. Yahya Abu Hatim, along with a number of faculty members and students.
The seminar aimed to raise awareness about thalassemia and hereditary blood disorders and to emphasize the importance of premarital testing for a society free from these inherited conditions.
The university also called on relevant authorities to take the necessary measures to reduce the prevalence of these diseases and encouraged all its members to actively participate in the voluntary blood donation campaign in support of affected patients.
