On Monday, January 20, 2025, corresponding to 20th Rajab 1446, the University of Science and Technology, in coordination and collaboration with the National Blood Transfusion and Research Center and the Yemeni Society for Thalassemia and Genetic Blood Diseases, organized a voluntary blood donation campaign for the benefit of thalassemia patients, hereditary blood disorders, and others who rely on blood transfusions.
The following day, Tuesday, January 21, 2025, corresponding to 21st Rajab 1446, the association hosted a group of female students from the Laboratory Department, M4, of the Elite International University. During their visit, they were introduced to the different departments of the treatment center, the services provided to patients, and the efforts made to alleviate their suffering.
They also attended a lecture and were provided with educational materials on the risks, complications, and preventive measures for these diseases.
