The Yemeni Society for Thalassemia and Genetic Blood Disorders, in coordination and cooperation with the National Blood Transfusion and Research Center, carried out a voluntary blood donation campaign on Wednesday, 16 Rabi’ Al-Thani 1447 AH, corresponding to October 8, 2025.
The campaign aimed to support patients with thalassemia, hemolytic anemia, and others who depend on regular blood transfusions. It also sought to raise public awareness about the importance of voluntary blood donation as a humanitarian act that saves lives and reflects the spirit of social solidarity within the community.
The campaign witnessed remarkable participation from donors, who emphasized that donating blood is a noble human duty that helps alleviate patients’ suffering and gives them a better chance at life.
